Real Beauty!

It was a SCARY NIGHT, storm and wind with heavy out-pour of rain bombarded their nest. She was holding on to her little ones all night hoping it will end soon. And that early sun came out signaling the end of it, painting the skies with his vivid colors.

For that five sensed creature the mighty sun saving her little ones were real beauty.

"Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging." ~ Joseph Campbell

No successful person has ever bypassed failure. So if you think that you should,... you're not ready to succeed. If you face your Failures, Success is the End Fruit of All it All. ¤ Written By Nacrissa J. Vil
"Don't be afraid to fail. Don't waste energy trying to cover up failure. Learn from your failures and go on to the next challenge. It's OK to fail. If you're not failing, you are not growing." ~ H. Stanley Judd

Don't wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul. ♥ Mario Quintana ♥•*´¨♥

You're special! Don't ever forget it!

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked. "Who would like this $20 bill?"
Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you - but first, let me do this."

He proceeded to crumple the 20 dollar note up. He then asked. "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air.
"Well," he replied, "what if I do this?"...
He dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?"
Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless; but no matter what happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worth of our lives comes, not in what we do or who we know, but by ...WHO WE ARE.
You are special - don't ever forget it."

Context Matters!

you should train yourself to view intellect — and any other aspect of your personal skill set — as a muscle that grows with effort and atrophies with neglect. When you accept that the answers to “Who am I?” should be written in pencil and not pen, threats become opportunities and failures transform into life lessons.

It’s refreshing to realize that that you’re not a finished product — that who you are in the here and now may not be the same person you’ll be in the then and there.

fuel for thought

We are all capable of uttering profound truths.
We are all part of creation -
all kings, all poets, all musicians;
we have only to open up,
to discover what is already there.
(Henry Miller)

Fear is not our enemy. It is merely a compass pointing us to the areas where we need to grow.
(Steve Pavlina)

Only a powerful soul can offer love. Only a powerful soul can afford to be humble. If we are weak, then we become selfish. If we are empty, we take; but if we are filled, we automatically give to all. That is our nature.

(Dadi Prakashmani)

We're all told we should be leaders. But the world needs great followers too. If there's an issue or idea or cause you feel strongly about, have the courage to be a great follower and inspire others to do the same.

Fuel for thought

If you awake every morning with the thought that something wonderful will happen in your life today, you'll often find that you are right.

(Nancy Sathre-Vogel)

You've done well.

You've made great stuff happen,
and you will make more great stuff happen.
You've been scared and you overcame.
You've been knocked down and you rose.
And you've been lost, or so you thought,
only to discover it was just the calm before
another storm of creativity, love, and fun.
(Mike Dooley)

There is a thought in your mind right now. The longer you hold on to it, the more you dwell upon it, the more life you give to that thought. Give it enough life, and it will become real. So make sure the thought is indeed a great one.

(Ralph Marston)

Hope is not the closing of our eyes

to difficulty, risk or failure.
It is trust that if we fail now,
We shall not fail forever.
And if we are hurt,
We shall be healed.
It is a trust that life is good
and love is powerful.
(Author Unknown)

I have a purpose – growing;

I have a goal – glowing.
I have a hobby – giving;
I have a song – living.
I have a mission – reaching;
I have a love – teaching.
I have a calling – caring;
I have a joy – sharing.
(William Arthur Ward)

Bless those who challenge us to grow,

to stretch, to move beyond the knowable,
to come back home to our essential nature.
Bless those who challenge us
for they remind us of doors we have closed
and doors we have yet to open.
(Native American Prayer)

Sometimes people are beautiful.

Not in looks. Not in what they say.
Just in what they are.
(Markus Zusak_Australian Author)

If you always think what you've always thought,

You will always do what you've always done.
If you always do what you've always done,
You will always get what you've always got.
If you always get what you've always got,
You will always think what you've always thought.
(Author Unknown)

For money you can have everything it is said. No, that is not true. You can buy food, but not appetite; medicine, but not health; soft beds, but not sleep; knowledge but not intelligence; glitter, but not comfort; fun, but not pleasure; acquaintances, but not friendship; servants, but not faithfulness; grey hair, but not honor; quiet days, but not peace. The shell of all things you can get for money. But not the kernel. That cannot be had for money.

(Arne Garborg, 1851-1924
Norwegian Author and Journalist)

Ae Des Se Aanay walay bata..

Beautiful poetry written by Ahmad Faraz in the mesmerizing voice of Abida Parveen. The poetry reflects feelings of the poet who is far from homeland and his desperation to know about his friends and fellows. He inquires from a visitor from his beloved homeland in these beautiful and touching words!

Oh Des se aanay walay bata
kis haal mein hain yaran-e-watan,
Woh bagh-e-watan firdos-e-watan
Woh shehr hamara kaisa hai?
Sub log hamein pyaray hain magar,
Woh jaan se pyara kaisa hai?
Oh des se aanay walay bata
kia ab bhi watan mein waisay hi sarmast nazaaray hotay hain?
kia ab bhi sohani raaton mein woh chand sitaray hotay hain ?
Hum khail jo khaila kertay thay ab bhi woh saray hotay hain?
Oh des se aanay walay bta
Shab bazm-e-hareefaan sajti hain?
Ya sham dhalay so jatay hain?
Yaaron ki basar auqaat hain kia?
Her anjuman aara kaisa hai?
kia ab bhi mehektay mandir se naqus ki awaz aati hai?
kia abhi muqaddas majid per mastana azan tharraati hai?
kia ab bhi wahan ke panghat per
panhariyaan pani bharti hain?
Angrai ka naksha ban ban ker,
sub mathay per gaagar dharti hain?
or apne gharon ko jatay huay,
Hansti hui chohrein kerti hain?
Oh des se aanay walay bata
Mehran lahoo ki dhaar hua?
Bolab bhi kia gulnar hua?
kis rang ka hai darye-e-attock?
Ravi ka kinara kaisa hai?
Ae des se aanay walay magar,
Tum ne to na itna bhi poocha,
Woh qavi jisay banvas mila,
woh dard ka maara kaisa hai?
Oh des se anay walay bata
kia ab bhi kisi ke seenay mein,
baaki hai hamari chah bata?
kia yaad hamein bhi kerta hai,
ab yaaron mein koi aah! bata!
Oh des se aanay walay bata
lillah bata lillah bata!

If you wish the world to become loving and compassionate, become loving and compassionate yourself. If you wish to diminish fear in the world, diminish your own. These are the gifts that you can give.
(Gary Zukav)

know that the answer to what we need to do next is in our own hearts. All we have to do is listen, then take that one step further and trust what we hear. We will be taught what we need to learn.

(Melody Beattie)

Laugh at yourself, but don’t ever aim your doubt at yourself. Be bold. When you embark for strange places, don’t leave any of yourself safely on shore. Have the nerve to go into unexplored territory.

(Alan Alda)

Your present circumstances don't determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start.
(Nido Qubein)

Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Because unless you believe that the future can be better, you are unlikely to step up and take responsibility for making it so.

(Noam Chomsky)

Laughing with somebody till the tears run down your cheeks. Waking up to the first snow. Whether you thank God for such a moment or thank your lucky stars, it is a moment that is trying to open up your whole life. If you turn your back on such a moment and hurry along to business as usual, it may lose you the ball game. If you throw your arms around such a moment and hug it like crazy, it may just save your soul.

(Frederick Buechner)

Never forget, no matter how overwhelming life's challenges and problems seem to be, that one person can make a difference in the world. In fact, it is always because of one person that all the changes in the world come about. So be that person.

Yaad-e-Mazi mein jo aankhon ko saza di jaye!

Yaad-e-Maazi mein jo aankhon ko saza di jaye,

Is se behtar hai ke her baat bhula di jaye.

Jis se thori si bhi umeed ziyada ho kabhi,

Aisi her shama Sar-e-Sham bujha di jaye.

Main uski sunta rehta tha,

Woh meri sunta rehta tha,

Hum dono apni baatain bus Ik doojay hi se kehtay thay,

Or ik doojay ki baaton per hum ghanton hanstay rehtay thay,

Main dil ka dost hi acha tha,

Dil mera dost hi acha tha,

Woh meray dard samajhta tha,

Mein us ka dard samajhta tha,

Phir dil ne mujh se chaal chali,

Woh teri raah pe chal nikla,

Ab mein bhi tanha rehta hoon,

Or dil bhi tanha rehta hai!

"A child called it" by Dave Pelzer

About

David J. Pelzer's mother, Catherine Roerva, was, he writes in this ghastly,
fascinating memoir, a devoted den mother to the Cub Scouts in her care, and
somewhat nurturant to her children--but not to David, whom she referred to
as "an It." This book is a brief, horrifying account of the bizarre tortures she
inflicted on him, told from the point of view of the author as a young boy
being starved, stabbed, smashed face-first into mirrors, forced to eat the
contents of his sibling's diapers and a spoonful of ammonia, and burned
over a gas stove by a maniacal, alcoholic mom. Sometimes she claimed he
had violated some rule--no walking on the grass at school!--but mostly it
was pure sadism. Inexplicably, his father didn't protect him; only an alert
schoolteacher saved David
.

Quotes

"One day before he left for work, I received a dreadful shock.
After he said goodbye to Ron and Stan, he knelt down, held my
shoulders tightly and told me to be a “good boy”. Mother stood
behind him with her arms folded across her chest, and a grim
smile on her face. I looked into my father’s eyes and knew right
then that I was a “bad boy”."

"Even in its darkest passages, the heart is
unconquerable. It is important that the body survives, but it is
more meaningful that the human spirit prevails."

"I believe it is important for people to know that no matter
what lies in their past, they can overcome the dark side and press
on to a brighter world. It is perhaps a paradox that without the abuse of my past, I might not be what I am today. Because of
the darkness in my childhood, I have a deep appreciation for
life. I was fortunate enough to turn tragedy into triumph. This is
my story."

Quotes that motivate and inspire!

“If you can keep your wits about you while others are losing theirs and blaming you, the world will be yours.” –Rudyard Kipling

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” –Attributed to Confucius

If there is one lesson that I have learned during my life as an analyst, it is the lesson that what my patients tell me is likely to be true – that many times when I believed that I was right and my patients were wrong, it turned out, though often only after a prolonged search, that my rightness was superficial, whereas their rightness was profound. –Heinz Kohut

“You cannot solve a problem from the same consciousness that created it. You must learn to see the world anew.” –Albert Einstein

“People that judge don’t matter. People that matter don’t judge.” –Author Unknown

“The only time a man should be looking down at another man is if the other man is on the ground and the man looking down at him and extending his hand to him so that he can help him up.” –Author Unknown

“Creativity exists in the spaces between ideas”. –David Wescott

“Resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die.” –Carrie Fisher

“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming — WOW — What a ride!” – Anonymous

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. –Marianne Williamson

“The beauty of balance is that I can do it all and not feel bad about my choices, because every moment is an opportunity to start all over again” –Jorge Perez

“Life is a kaleidoscope. Turn your head a different angle and see it a whole new way.”
–Anonymous

Love

Love is what springs up
when you're looking
in the other direction;
what rushes in
when your definitions drop away.
...When you absolutely
don't know anything
whatsoever anymore,
there It is--
painting Itself madly across your life
with sudden strokes
and unexpectedly rash ink.

Today, be the flower

Today, be the flower
that grows from a rock.

Be the silk breeze
that soothes heated hearts.
...
Be the candle flame
that banishes darkness.

Be the fresh stream
that gives fish a home.

Be the stillness
that provokes sweet peace.

Be the smile
that quenches all fear.

These
are the seeds of joy.
