A Muslim's connection with his Beloved Prophet (S.A.W)

If we compare the times' before and after the Prophet hood Of Muhammad (S.AW.), humanity entered into a completely new era. The humanity entered a new era of awareness, Culture and refinement that was never seen before.
The worst conspiracy against Muslims was to weaken their connection with the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. because this very connection was the driving force of the Muslim community and source of unity among them.  At a very personal level as well as at the social and national level, love and connection with the Prophet (S.A.W) is the lifeline of Muslims.

Who  Faaqa kash ke maut se darta nahiin zara
Rooh-e-Muhammad us ke badan se nikal do

This was the strategy to weaken muslims.

Man fears to confront...

Then again, that was how she was. She
never confronted the death of anything, be it a habit, a
phase, or a marriage, even when the end stood right in

front of her, plain and inevitable.
(Forty Rules of love (Elif Shafak)

That's what we are like manyatimes in our life. We don't confront things that we are sure going to come. Some call it hope but more than hope it is non-acceptance. Hope is when we know that we'll survive the storm, not expecting it not to come!

kindness to animals (Prophetic Hadith)

Allah's Apostle said, "While a man was walking on a road. he became very thirsty. Then he came across a well, got down into it, drank (of its water) and then came out. Meanwhile he saw a dog panting and licking mud because of excessive thirst. The man said to himself, "This dog is suffering from the same state of thirst as I did." So he went down the well again and filled his shoe with water and held it in his mouth and watered the dog. Allah thanked him for that deed and forgave him." The people asked, "O Allah's Apostle! Is there a reward for us in serving the animals?" He said, "Yes, there is a reward for serving any living being."

Status and Importance of Hadis-e-Nabawi in Islam

  • The Sunnah and Hadees of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) is a form of revelation itself and possess the same authority as the source of Islamic law as the Quran has. In the hierarchy in classification (martaba) Quran comes first, no doubt, but when It comes to the derivation of Shariah, Quran and hadees have similar authoritative status.
  • There are two types of revelations, that have lead to different hierarchical status of Quran and Sunnah.
  • The Quran says

(Najam 4:3,2)" I swear by the star when it goes down.

Your companion does not err, nor does he go astray.

Nor does he speak out of desire

It is naught but revelation that is revealed"

This implies that each and every word that the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) spoke was based on revelation.

And these revelations were of two type:

  1.  The words of Quran were exactly revealed on the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) through Angel Gabriel. These were the words of the Quran and called" Wahi-e-Matluv" i.e. Revelation that is Recited. The words and the meanings both have been revealed as it is in the form of Ayahs.
  2. The second form of Wahi is that which is revealed to the Prophet (S.A.W) in the form of Wisdom and in this case the meaning is put in the heart of the Prophet (S.A.W) by Wahi and the words are those of the Holy Prophet. This is also called "Wahi-e-Ghair-Matluv". Wahi that is not recited.

As comes in Surah Nisa

(Nisa :113)"And Allah has revealed to you the Book and the wisdom , and He has taught you what you did not know, and Allah's grace on you is very great."

Here book refers to Quran and Wisdom refers to Hadis (Imam Shafai)

(Baqarah: 129)

And Lord! Raise up in them an Apostle from among them who shall recite to them Thy communications and teach them The Book and the wisdom, and purify them: Surely thou art the Mighty, The Wise."

We turn to Allah in the time of need

We always bow down towards Allah in the time of need.. it is in human nature. Whether one is Muslim, non-muslim, pagan, atheist, in the time of immense need and chaos our unconscious knowing of Allah comes to surface and we turn to him in the time of need

Light Of Allah

We often contemplate upon the gnosis of Allah and how to we can search for and connect to Allah.. it is mentioned in tafseer al-Kabeer that some researchers of Islam say that
"Allah, the Almighty is Veiled from our observations because of the intensity of his manifestation and hidden from our sights because of the intense radiance of his Light!"
(Baaz muhaqiqeen ka kehna hai ke pak hai woh zaat jo apne shiddat-e-Zuhoor ke baa'is aqlon se mahjub hai or kamaal-e-Noor ke baa'is in se makhfi hai.)

Allah!

"Mujhay Zameen-o-Asman ki wus'atein apne andar nahi samo saktin magar mein apnay banda-e- Momin ke dil mein samaa jata hun" (Hadis)

God Consciousness

Always have God consciousness before embarking on any journey in life, maybe you have it already but refreshing it in ur mind is very important.

The Creator of possibilities (Musabbab-ul-Asbab)

"Asbab se sarf-e-Nazar kar ke, musabbab-ul-Asbab pe nazar rakhna Sabr hai."
(Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri- Tafseer-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran)
So even when possibilities aren't there, or you can't see them, have faith in the Creator of possibilities because He is always there! And Sabr is a direct outcome of belief in the Benevolence of Allah_the Creator of possibilities.

Face Your Fear!

Once you face your fear, it becomes powerless.

Fuel for thought! (on Freedom)

“Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.”
Mahatma Gandhi

“I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”
S.G. Tallentyre

“Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free.”
Jim Morrison

“Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves.”
Abraham Lincoln

“I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.”
Robert A. Heinlein

“The secret of happiness is freedom, the secret of freedom is courage.”
Carrie Jones, Need

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
C.S. Lewis
“A person who has not been completely alienated, who has remained sensitive and able to feel, who has not lost the sense of dignity, who is not yet "for sale", who can still suffer over the suffering of others, who has not acquired fully the having mode of existence - briefly, a person who has remained a person and not become a thing - cannot help feeling lonely, powerless, isolated in present-day society. He cannot help doubting himself and his own convictions, if not his sanity. He cannot help suffering, even though he can experience moments of joy and clarity that are absent in the life of his "normal" contemporaries. Not rarely will he suffer from neurosis that results from the situation of a sane man living in an insane society, rather than that of the more conventional neurosis of a sick man trying to adapt himself to a sick society. In the process of going further in his analysis, i.e. of growing to greater independence and productivity, his neurotic symptoms will cure themselves.”
Erich Fromm

“Imagine a society that subjects people to conditions that make them terribly unhappy then gives them the drugs to take away their unhappiness. Science fiction It is already happening to some extent in our own society. Instead of removing the conditions that make people depressed modern society gives them antidepressant drugs. In effect antidepressants are a means of modifying an individual's internal state in such a way as to enable him to tolerate social conditions that he would otherwise find intolerable.”
Theodore Kaczynski

So What if Love'sidol is hidden?

"So what if love's idol is hidden? One's heart will never be far away.
My guide lives many mountains away, but he is visible before me.
Whoever has one grain of love is drunk without wine.
They are true mystics, Bahu, whose graves are alive."
~Hzt.Sultan Bahu ♥

Fuel for thought!

Perhaps the greatest faculty our minds possess is the ability to cope with pain. Classic thinking teaches us of the four doors of the mind, which everyone moves through according to their need. First is the door of sleep. Sleep offers us a retreat from the world and all its pain. Sleep marks passing time, giving us distance from the things that have hurt us. When a person is wounded they will often fall unconscious. Similarly, someone who hears traumatic news will often swoon or faint. This is the mind's way of protecting itself from pain by stepping through the first door. Second is the door of forgetting. Some wounds are too deep to heal, or too deep to heal quickly. In addition, many memories are simply painful, and there is no healing to be done. The saying 'time heals all wounds' is false. Time heals most wounds. The rest are hidden behind this door. Third is the door of madness. There are times when the mind is dealt such a blow it hides itself in insanity. While this may not seem beneficial, it is. There are times when reality is nothing but pain, and to escape that pain the mind must leave reality behind. Last is the door of death. The final resort. Nothing can hurt us after we are dead, or so we have been told.” ― Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind

Rehmat da mee paa khudaya, baagh suka ker harya

Us da naam chitaaran waala kisay medan na harda.

Nahiin nigah mein manzil to justuju hi sahi (Abida sings Faiz Ahmad Faiz)

Nahiin nigah mein manzil to justuju hi sahi,
nahi wisal mayassar to aarzoo hi sahi.

Na tan mein khoon faraham na ashk aankhon mein,
Namaz-e-shoq to wajib hai bewuzu hi sahi.

Kisi tarha to jamay bazm may-kaday walo,
nahiin jo baada-o-saaghar to hao-hoo hi sahi.

Gar intezar kathin hai to jab talak ae dil!
kisi ke waada-e-farda ki guftugu hi sahi.

Dayaar-e-ghair mein mehram agar nahi koi
to Faiz zikr-e-watan apne ru baru hi sahi.

Jo ruk jao to tanha ho

Kuch panchi jhund mein urtay hon,
aur rasta bhi kuch mushkil ho,
kuch dur ufaq pe manzil ho,
Ik panchi ghayal ho jaye.

Or be-dum ho ker gir jaye,
To rishtay naatay pyaray sab,
Kb is ki khatir ruktay hain?

is dunya ki hai reet yahi,
Jo sath chalo to sath bohat
Jo ruk jao to tanha ho!
